Happy Midsummer . Solstice

Una: Our life on our little smallholding with our ducks, hens and lots of dogs who all come from rescues and shelters. Beside our four own dogs we also foster and rehabilitate rescue dogs and find them furever homes.

Chandini

Bichon Habanais mix, 5 years old (as of 2013), discarded and misused and abused in Spain. She is a panic dog, sometimes she is still afraid of her own shadow, but she is concquering her world bit by bit. A charming, serious and lovable little baby still.

Cafira-Lulu

4 years (as of 2013) old Dachshound-Yorkie mix who was born in a Spanish perrera. Her parents were killed there and before her time was up a Swiss lady adopted her to give her a better life. She came to us as a foster dog, but stayed all the same. She is an open, funny and fearless little thing.

Careto

Podengo Português, ca. 10 years old, lost his left hindleg but we don't know how. Lived a few months in a Spanish animal shelter where he was the darling of all. A clown, a bon vivant, a cool dude and one sweet guy. He is very sensitive and loves to cuddle, he is slowly but steadily becoming part of my soul.

Coco-Samara

Sammy is ca. 3-4 years old. She came as a forster dog to us from Chisinau in Moldavia. She was beaten and abused and lived on the streets. She is very shy and we still work on earning her trust.

In Memoriam

CENOUR

A 12+ Podengo Português mix. Abused, misused, abandoned, thrown over a fence to the killing station for animals. Rescued by an animal activist, deaf, autistic, baby-bear, water fanatic, a prince, a true Mahatma Ghandi on 4 paws. He was and still is my soul!

CHICA

She was 8 years old when she came to us. Abandoned, thrown away to be killed. She was a Border Terrier mix and shared two wonderful years with us until she died of cancer. One big heart and an even bigger soul. We still miss her.
